Creating Through Play
Creating Through Play: When I was in Kindergarten, there was a dried-up old stump in the back of the playground. For some reason I was fascinated by it's jagged edges that rose up and down creating peaks and valleys on it's surface. Thinking back now, the tree must have fallen long before because there wasn't a clear cut. Maybe it had fallen on its own.
.
The rough surface was beautiful to me. I would pretend that it was a whole city. Then, on my own, I would pick up some of the fine, gray dirt and sprinkle it like fairy dust over the top of the stump.
.
I could imagine the world however I wanted it to be. And to quote the artist Franklin Marval, "More Love is OK.” @fmarval
That was how I felt then and still do today.
.
So, in this chaotic world with all its jagged edges and infinite beauty, let's create what we'd like together.
.
Want more love? Be love.
Want more kindness? Be kind.
Want more peace? Be peace.
