A compassionate, integrative approach to health
About Dr. Arlene Dijamco
Educated at Harvard, Emory, and Albert Einstein, Dr. Arlene Dijamco’s approach to medicine expanded exponentially after she studied in Dr. Andrew Weil’s prestigious two-year integrative medicine fellowship program. Integrative Medicine
Combining the wisdom and options of conventional medical care with those of alternative, complementary, and holistic approaches, integrative medicine offers an inclusive, personal way to better health. Rather than a “Band-Aid” way of treating symptoms, we assess and treat the person as a whole – mind, body and spirit.
Integrative Pediatrics
As a board-certified pediatrician and integrative physician, Dr. Dijamco offers a safe and refreshing perspective on children’s health. We’re a great fit for the more holistically minded, those seeking new ways to address old problems, and families who appreciate our warm, patient, patient-centered approach.
Classical Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a type of energy medicine that uses the principle of “like cures like.” Since the body has a natural inclination towards balance, the symptoms are a guide to what the body and mind need to regain health. With the correct remedy, a person is given the exact type of “energy” they need to get over a hurdle and continue on the path to well-being.
Cranial Osteopathy
Few things have changed how I see medicine or have changed my patients’ lives more than cranial osteopathy. As a student, practitioner, and instructor of cranial osteopathy, I tap into a person’s natural rhythms including the movement of fluids, tissues, and more elusive energy around the body. I’ve seen it used to avoid surgeries, heal concussions, calm anxiety, and so much more.
Specialty Yoga
Our certified adult- and kids-yoga instructor, Susan McVicar, offers private instruction and specialty yoga classes for small groups. These include niche classes for kids, ‘tweens, and families, as well as restorative yoga to help regain strength and ease tension using breathwork, mindfulness, and poses. If you have a group in mind, Susan can tailor a class to your wants and needs.
Our philosophy
The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well.” ~Hippocrates
