Here’s a photo of my parents when they were in medical school in the Philippines.
.
That was then and this is now.
.
Time is all relative.
.
They are still the same people but different.
.
There’s a whole life in between with natural ups and downs.
.
In the down times, they taught me to always look up.
.
That’s what my friend @maudy.fowler always says too.
.
Where’s the light? Where is the brightness?
.
Well, for me my parents are a bright spot.
.
It’s not easy coming from another country and making your way.
.
They were tough yet they were gentle and also humanitarians
.
Willing to help their friends and community
.
Supporting those in need with their generosity of time, resources, and services
.
And continuing to do so in retirement
.
So, thank you Mom and Dad for your constant inspiration
.
as I continue the path of medicine in my own way 💕
.
I love you to the stars and back!
.
.
Who are you thankful for? Who is an inspiration in your life?
.
Let me know or if possible tag them in the comments below. I’d love to hear!
.
Lots of love,
Dr. Dijamco
