Temple of Time: To both honor the 17 that were killed and help the community heal, artist David built a Temple of Time with the help of many volunteers. This is a magnificent wooden structure is made out of beech wood carved into intricate, lace-like designs. πŸ™ The Temple of Time serves as a place of contemplation, where people can bring their pain and grief in the aftermath of the school shooting. πŸ’ž People left both messages and significant articles like a loved stuffie or baseball cap. A classroom left a brown paper bag labeled β€œbullying.” Others left hopeful words β€œlet there be peace” and β€œyou matter.” 🌟What I noticed when walking through this 35-foot structure was remarkable: Yes, I could feel the palpable sadness and suffering. But, if I paid attention to the space within the temple, the air was different. πŸ‘Ό The air was shiny, sparkly, and filled with immense love. By stepping inside the temple, you enter a sacred space of oneness. There’s a feeling of angelic presence throughout.
At 7pm on May 19th, the entire temple and its contents will be burned in a healing ceremony. πŸ”₯πŸ’–πŸ™Β #parklandstrongΒ #templeoftimeΒ #weareoneΒ #neverforgetΒ #togetherwearestrongerΒ #arlenedijamcomdΒ #loveheals
