This is what I pondered today at Office Max

This is what I pondered today at Office Max. I had an urgent trip there due to lack of internet in quarantine! How to function?! It’s strange that this seeming “essential” now didn’t even exist when I was growing up.
.
But thank God for it now. It’s a source of connection for many.
.
Anyway, the Office Max guy who usually helps me was all masked up. So, it was just his eyes that looked at me and said “it’s tough.”
.
And then, “How will this quarantine affect your life when it is over?”
.
It’s something I thought I was familiar with.
.
I’ve meditated, clarified what I wanted my norm to look like.
.
But then to be asked on the spot doing a regular errand, suddenly I wasn’t so sure. And there was so much.
.
“I don’t know,” I said.
.
“A huge appreciation for everyone I get to see and hug!”
.
And perhaps some pacing to my life
.
To carve out additional stillness.
.
And now that I reflect on that interaction, it was in the simplicity of it — to have more meaningful interactions in the every part of life, whether running an errand, or driving the kids to their activities, or making dinner, or hanging out with family and friends.
.
Even that tiny conversation pointed to connection
.
The oneness
.
That we’re al in this together
.
Having our own experiences and a shared one all at once
.
And that’s what life is all about whether in quarantine or out
.
Connection
.
With each other, with other living beings, with our shared home planet earth
.
How do you feel quarantine will affect you when it’s over? Let me know in the comments - I’d love to hear 💕
.
Lots of love,
Dr. Dijamco
